Uruguay Residency

There is no Temporary Residency in Uruguay, you will immediately obtain Permanent Residency. You must stay in the country during the initial application for 1-2 weeks, and after that timeframe we will continue processing your application (you may leave the country if needed) until the residency is complete in 4-6 months time. 


The initial residency appointments are currently booking 1-4 months in advance (depending on the location you choose to apply from), and we will make the initial residency appointment and ensure all documentation is correct for your appointment and interview with the government.


The price for residency is 3500 USD, which includes the health check, full assistance in the residency process, permanent residency, Uruguayan cedula.


A 50% deposit of total services is required to get the process underway. Once the deposit is received, we will verify your documents via Whatsapp to ensure they are correct before your arrival in Uruguay. The remaining 50% of the fee is due before we mail or deliver your cedula to you.


Bank transfer details to receive the deposit for residency can be requested or will be included in the email thread. We accept bank transfers and credit card, however a 5% fee (card provider fee, not our fee) is added to any credit card payments.

Process
Please send us photos of the documents before and after they are apostilled so we can ensure they are correct before you arrive in Uruguay
We will book in your initial interview appointment with the immigration authority in Uruguay – Please note these appointments typically book between 1-4 months in advance, so we will make this appointment for you (must be physically present in Uruguay for the appointment) while you are still compiling your documents 

Once you arrive in Uruguay, we will accompany you to process your documents and complete the health check 
We will prepare you for the interview with immigration, and once completed, your cedula will be in process

The residency processing times are typically between 4-10 months. You do not need to reside in Uruguay during this time, however there is a small immigration fee each time you leave the country while waiting for your cedula

Once completed, you will need to be in Uruguay to pick up your residency and cedula
